About me

Hello!
Welcome to my journey! A journey through learning.

My name is Renata, I'm 38 years old and I'm from Brazil. I've been living in Bariloche, Argentina, since 2012. Before moving to Patagonia, I lived in Washington, DC for two and a half years and in Curitiba, Brazil.

Teaching happened in my life just a few years ago. I have a degree in Journalism and I worked in the field for about 7 years until I moved to the US.

Being a Journalist has helped me with the most challenging job I've ever dreamt of: the teaching job.

I've started teaching Portuguese in 2014 with no experience whatsoever. Two years later, I decided I wanted to follow this path and enrolled in "Profesorado de Inglés online" at Lenguas Vivas Bariloche. I've started my practicum in 2017 teaching very young learners from a bilingual school. This year, my challenge was to practice with two groups of 7th graders from a public school. My passion for the English language and my enthusiasm for teaching are my tools to move forward.

I'm currently teaching Portuguese for teens and young adults in a public school and Portuguese and English for adults in a private Language School.

And you know what? I'm ready for more challenges!
